This Week: Kenan vs. Kel
Previous Shows
This upcoming week will be our fourth show of the semester on X 106 so we thought we would get you caught up on what we talked about in the first three shows.
First Week-Sandlot
The first week of the semester we talked all about the movie Sandlot about a kid named Scotty Smalls who just moves into a new neighborhood and meets up with a bunch of kids who need an extra guy on their baseball team. That leads to a whole bunch of adventures from Squints kissing Wendy at the Pool to Hercules stealing Small's signed Babe Ruth baseball that belonged to his step dad. It was also the first birthday of 90's Friday Night on X-106 and we had a little bit of everything from Decade Doug's Dave Grohl segment of the Week which led us to the conversation who was our man crushed. Nate The Great's was Denzel Washington (just in Man on Fire), Marcus the Intern's was Ryan Renyolds, and Dougs is well Dave Grohl.
Second Week-Space Jam
A combination of Looney Tunes and the greatest basketball player of all time was the discussion of our second show. We also had a poll of who you would go gay for in the 90s which had a variety of answers from our listeners but for the men it was Will Smith and for the Women it was Kelly from Save By The Bell (Britney Murphy came in a close second in the womens vote). And Marcus the Intern also learned there is a public library in our town (shocking but true).
Third Week-The Mighty Ducks
Maybe the greatest sports trilogy of the 90's was the discussion of last weeks show talking about the players, coach Bombay, and of course how ducks fly together. Then in our weekly poll we asked who was the best Legends of the Hidden Temple team. It came down the wire but the Silver Snakes pulled out the victory with 15 votes, followed closely in second by the Orange Iguanas. We also talked about Britney Spears in 90's News and introduced our 90's Friday Night gong which we use whenever we talk about hot girls from the 90s (or Dave Grohl).
